What do we mean when we say we're a "micro-lawfirm"?  Well, we mean that we don't pretend to be a full service law firm with teams of lawyers.  That's not what we're about.

Beechmast is a provider of corporate-commercial legal services on a very individualised basis.
Our extensive experience in private & in-house practice means we understand that:

  • you have a budget and timetable that you need to work within
  • your contract counterparty today may be your customer, supplier or shareholder tomorrow
  • you want your lawyer to adopt a sensible & commercially responsive route through negotiations to contract signing, whilst still ensuring that legal issues are properly addressed and risk areas are identified and evaluated

so that the deal is signed up smoothly and on time and you can get on with the real business.

"Fantastically reliable and determined in the pursuit of the right answer.  Someone you definitely want on your side."

Michael Brooke, Partner, Ross Brooke Limited

Our Principal

Beechmast Consultancy Limited's founder is Rosemary Cook, a solicitor with over 20 years experience in private practice & in-house practice.  Rosemary's private practice experience has been gained with two of the world's leading lawfirms, Freehills (now Herbert Smith Freehills) (Sydney office) & Freshfields (London office), together with a "boutique" corporate practice in Sydney, Australia and a high street practice in the UK.

Rosemary was General Counsel at International Power plc, a FTSE 100 company with an international portfolio of electric power generation assets, with responsibility for the company's global team of project lawyers.

Rosemary is also a Non-Executive Director and Trustee of Wessex Archaeology Limited and of the Salisbury Diocesan Board of Finance.

"Rosemary is an active and valuable contributor to our board, providing challenge and insight based on her wide professional experience and analytical approach. She expresses her views clearly and logically and can always be relied on to make a useful contribution both inside and outside of meetings."
